After the most recent fashion week in Sydney, how would you best describe Australian Fashion and how it stands out from the rest of the world?
I’ve always thought Australian fashion was very simple, casual chic and all about minimalism. However with Sydney’s most recent fashion week I feel as though many Australian fashionistas are experimenting more with bold colours, accessories and patterns. Australian fashion still does stand out though as we still aren’t as loud as many other cultures, there’s still a touch of modesty which is quite nice. I like the gradual change though, it’s more fun :)
What are your top wardrobe essentials?
Designer sneakers, nude and black heels, a tailored blazer and a statement bag that will just dress up any and every outfit.
How do you prepare for Fashion Week?
To be honest, I’m a last minute wonder! I’m so unorganized but I guess I work better under pressure with a time limit. For Fashion Week, I decided on my outfits a couple of days before. Once my clothing is chosen, I then accessorize and always get my hair done to complete the look.
Your top trends for this year?
I’m obsessed with bold matching sets such as suits, tracksuits and top/jacket with a matching skirt/pants. I also love wearing all one colour, especially bright colours like pink, orange, red and blue. I’ve been doing that a lot lately! Oh, and lately I’m obsessed with hair accessories such as bows and big hair clips, so much fun to play with.
